When to make an appointment with a dermatologist
Consultation with a dermatologist is recommended if:
- Skin has rashes, redness, peeling, or spots
- Changes in the shape or color of the nail beds on the hands or feet
- Hair splits, thins, breaks or falls out
How to prepare
No special training required. On the day of your appointment, it is advisable to minimize cosmetics and styling products: this will make it easier for the doctor to assess the condition of your skin and hair. Makeup can be removed at the clinic if necessary.
What to expect at your appointment
A dermatovenerologist (a doctor who deals with diseases of the skin and its appendages: hair and nails) collects an anamnesis (specifies complaints, their duration, concomitant diseases) and conducts an examination.
In many cases, from acne to eczema and dermatitis, the diagnosis is made by clinical presentation (characteristic external manifestations). Then treatment is prescribed at the first appointment. If tests or additional studies are required to clarify the diagnosis, the doctor determines their scope.
There are contraindications. Specialist consultation is required.

Yes. At the first visit, the doctor examines, clarifies contraindications and only then proposes a plan. Often the consultation and procedure take place on the same day.
How to prepare for your visit?
For most procedures, no preparation is necessary. If it is required, the administrator will tell you when confirming the entry, and a reminder will be sent to the messenger.

Are there any contraindications?
