When to see a trichologist
A trichologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp diseases. Reasons for consulting a trichologist:

- Allergic reactions on the scalp
Why shampoo doesn't help
The condition of the hair often reflects processes in the body: chronic stress, vitamin or iron deficiency, dysfunction of internal organs. If the cause is related to the condition of the body, external remedies (masks and shampoos) do not eliminate it.
The task of a trichologist is to identify the cause and influence it, and not just the condition of the hair.
How does a consultation with a trichologist proceed?
The doctor takes a medical history (information about complaints, nutrition, stress levels and overall health), then examines the hair and scalp using diagnostic equipment.
Based on the results, if necessary, prescribes tests, procedures and consultations with related specialists, selects home care products: masks and serums.
What is the treatment?
Laser and photo procedures, mesotherapy (injections of active substances into the scalp), plasma therapy (see page “Plasma therapy of the head”) and other methods are used. The doctor selects the treatment method during an in-person consultation. The result depends on the cause and how early treatment is started.
There are contraindications. Specialist consultation is required.

Is a consultation necessary before the procedure?
Yes. At the first visit, the doctor examines, clarifies contraindications and only then proposes a plan. Often the consultation and procedure take place on the same day.
How to prepare for your visit?
For most procedures, no preparation is necessary. If it is required, the administrator will tell you when confirming the entry, and a reminder will be sent to the messenger.
Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Yes. Write to the messenger or call the administrator, and he will find another time.
What drugs and devices do you use?
Only drugs certified in Russia and original devices with manufacturer’s service. You can check the name of the drug with your doctor before the procedure.
Are there any contraindications?
Each procedure has its own: pregnancy, acute inflammation, history of oncology and a number of others. The doctor checks them during consultation, so we do not carry out procedures “out of the blue.”
